Wray and Nephew White Overproof rum is legendary. For many years it was the only Jamaican overproof rum available in the U.S., the only way to get that legendary Jamaican "funk," hogo, esters, whathaveyou. I will admit up front that this is not a typical daiquiri rum. Not many daiquiris are made using rum that's 63% ABV. Although it's one of (if not THE) most popular rums consumed in Jamaica, Wray and Nephew Overproof is normally consumed straight (!) or mixed with a grapefruit-flavored soda for a "Wray & Ting." But I don't have any Ting on hand, so I guess I'll have to find out if it daiquiris or not!
